Ian Holloway was born on March 12,1963 in the Bristol suburb of Cadbury Heath,where his mum Jean still lives to this day.After showing ability at an early age,his father,Bill Holloway,allowed eight-year- old Ian the choice of playing for Bristol Rovers or Bristol City.He chose Rovers,and so began a love affair with the club he also supported,that would include two spells as a player and one as manager.He also played for Wimbledon,Brentford and Torquay,and for several years enjoyed Premiership football with QPR.
In 2001 "Ollie",as he is known throughout football,returned to Loftus Road (QPR) to manage the 'Rs' before becoming Plymouth Argyle boss in 2006.
Ollie and his wife Kim have four children, William,Chloe,Eve and Harriet - the girls all being born profoundly deaf.The Holloways live in Plymouth with their family dog,Nathan.
